A little about myself:
I’ve been running for 9 years now. Always slim; I was surprised at how unfit I was when I went out on my first ever run. I enjoy running in Heywood and teaching others how to enjoy keeping fit and healthy to!
I am now proud to say I have completed over 50 marathons / ultras (distances more than a marathon) / 24 hour events combined.
Running is about challenging yourself one step at a time. My coaching method focuses on going with how your body feels when running. Your posture is important and breathing too! I do not focus on technology or time. I believe these add unnecessary pressure to you when running and you cannot enjoy and appreciate the outdoors if you are looking down constantly at your watch or phone.
I have been a believer in meditation for most of my life but decided to gain a qualification so I could teach others different practices.
Meditation is about creating your own inner sanctuary, to breath and believe in yourself. Inner peace, inner love and inner happiness makes you a truly whole living being.
Both of the above are so beneficial for your physical AND mental health. Being outside you are taking in vitamin D whether it’s sunshine or rain, you can feel every part of your body moving and your feel good hormones and endorphins will be popping. Relaxing and zoning out to practice meditation helps you to create a place of calm within.
Life coaching – what is this? Is there a part of your life that you are not happy with? It can be health and fitness related, home/work life balance, feel like you are stuck in a rut and want more from your life. Being your coach we will work together to set realistic short term/long term goals and see you achieve these. Anything is possible!
